The Friday Studio: Sculpture & Sensory
July 31, 2026: 7:00pm-9:00pm
Join us for an evening of creativity, connection, and hands-on exploration at West Seattle Art Nest Home Studio.
This month’s Friday Studio focuses on sculpture and sensory experiences, inviting participants to create, experiment, and play with a wide variety of materials in a relaxed, open studio environment.
We’ll begin with a few optional guided prompts before opening the studio for exploration. I’ll be available throughout the evening to offer support, ideas, and encouragement, whether you’re an experienced artist, haven’t created in years or this is your first time.
Sculpture can take many forms, and participants are welcome to follow their curiosity. Materials may include:
• Air dry clay and sculpting tools
• Wire and abstract form building
• Found and recycled materials
• Glue gun construction and assemblage
• Natural elements and mixed media materials
• Plaster-based explorations
• Beads, fibers, and textural materials
In addition to sculptural work, the studio will feature adult-friendly sensory stations designed to encourage experimentation, grounding, and creative play. Explore texture, pattern, movement, tactile materials, and process-driven invitations that engage the senses and spark curiosity.
No experience is necessary. There is no right way to participate. Some guests may spend the evening immersed in a single project, while others may wander between materials and stations, following what inspires them.
Think of this less as a traditional art class and more as a creative gathering—a space to make, connect, recharge, and remember the joy of creating simply for the sake of creating.
Details:
• 2 hour open studio experience
• Optional guided creative prompts
• All materials included
• Adults of all experience levels welcome
• Hosted at the West Seattle Art Nest Home Studio
Feel free to bring a favorite beverage or snack to enjoy during the evening.
Art should be accessible to everyone. If cost is prohibitive, please reach out directly and we’ll find a price that works for your budget.
Come create, connect, experiment, and make something simply because it feels good to do so.
Do what feeds your creative soul.
